So about the previous st. valentine's day. I managed to have a pretty good day! Me, Fanny and her cousin took a trip to Vigeland Sculpture park in Oslo, a park full of sculptures of naked people. (Naked men fighting, naked couples hugging, naked people lying on top of each other, naked children playing-laughing-crying, naked men kicking naked children and whatnot.) The sun was shining like crazy, the snow was white and it made that lovely chrunchy sound when we walked on it. We had bought some "fika" and sat down on one of the statues, acted like real tourists, asking people to take our picture and all that.
It's the first time i have seen the sun in weeks, months even! So just being outside getting sun was wonderful. It made me think of spring, and summer :) when we sat down we saw many couples, since it was valentines and nice weather they apparently went to vigeland too. cute!
On our way home we went in to a chocolate boutique where we found chocolate for 25 kr/piece. crazy! So, we were happy enough just looking at it.
Think fast
The following night was pretty eventless really. we made our dinners, sat down and chilled, talked for a while. did nothing for hours until we started playing cards at 1 am or something. A game i never played before "Bonka bäver" they called it. which means "Smack beaver", it could also be called "Klubba säl" - "club seal". Sounds about as violent as it turned out to be. - 1-split the cards even between all players
2-The first player throws the card on top of his stack down on the table.
If this is a dressed card, the next player has to throw 4 cards for ace,3 for king, 2 for queen and 1 card for jack. if one of these cards are another dressed cards, the same story goes for the following player. if not, the pile of cards goes to the one throwing the last dressed card.
3- The violence. If two similar cards are thrown on each other, hit them as fast as you can!! The one who hits first, wins the cards.
4-if you run out of cards, don't panic. you can hit your way back into the game, just keep your focus on the cards. - The one who in the end wins all the cards, is the winner, Game Over.
Puerto de Santa María/Cadíz
I'm going to España!! I signed up for a language course i Puerto de Santa María and i got the confirmation a few days ago! So i'll be in spain just in time for my birthday, and midsommar. WONNNNDERFULLLLLL!
For eight weeks i'll be in one of the most southern places in spain, learning spanish, getting sun, getting to know people, eat nice food, meet more people. I'll be sharing an apartment with some stranger , which will be interesting. but fun, i hope.
Next weekend i'm gonna go to Gothenburg, take some time off from this place. Even though we get along well here, mostly, we do need time off from each other. I guess everybody does sometimes. We're starting to become like brothers and sisters, getting annoyed at small things we all do and doesn't do, or should do and so on. Like family. So even if it's just a weekend, it'll be good for me!
Nos Vemos!
Oh! She speaks/writes English!
SvaraRaderaSounds like your day went nicely yesterday, though I'd go for the piece of chocolate for kr; 25 ;) Just to mark the special day (give me any excuse to spend money and/or eat chocolate).
Spain will be great! Never been that far south on main-land, but I bet it'll be an experience you won't soon forget =D
