Gothenburg

I got off the bus, i hung out with josefin for a little while until she went away for her own adventure. I had nothing better to do but to wait for Alex’s bus to arrive.
It didn’t take long until i saw a lost guy with a couple of bags outside, so i said hi and then we could suprisingly talk like we’ve known each other forever.
We started off with trying to put our bags in a locker at the central station. The first locker didn’t work, the second one ate 40kr and the third one only took 5kr coins, the fourth one actually did work. yey.

The following hours contained random tourist visits at boring museums, old buildings, shopping streets and pictures were taken of nothing and everything.  After hours and hours we got tired of walking so we went to the station to pick up our bags and head for the building where we were gonna crash. We had some fika at my dads cousin kiki’s place and after that we baught some bread that we thought we we’re gonna survive from for the rest of the weekend (yeah right).  Tired from 3-4 hour busdrives and even more hours of walking we decided to chill out for the rest of the night and watched our beloved One Tree hill. This was followed by a long lost 10 hour sleep. Nice!
Next day.. We woke up, got invited for breakfast at Kiki’s. And like always at her place you can find some persian dishes. Since i’m getting used to eating boring oatmeals EVERY morning, this breakfast was like a hotel breakfast.
We met up with Zacke and Emelie one hour later and we started walking to the old part of Gbg for (once again) a fika at a small café. There we had the biggest cinnamon rolls i have ever seen in my life. they were big as plates! we managed to eat 3 of them ., i had one, alex had one, zacke and emelie only had a half each. –but even half would be huge.

On our way from the café we keep on talking , in english of course, and a guy on a bike stopped us because of that. He was lost and didn’t know the way to the boat where he worked, he said he came from australia and he invited us to the ship.  and we all said that “maybe we’ll stop by”.
It had been snowing all day and it got way heavier in the evening, Z. and E. had to driva back home before it got worse. But Alex and I had nothing better to do than to head out in the snowstorm to find the boat. So we did. Big time.
We found a harbour, and we found boats. we found no sidewalks cause they were covered in snow. We realized we were on the wrong harbor and had to cross a big bridge. Still, very much snow. I would never choose to get out in that kind of weather if i didn’t really have to.  On the bridge we met some other english speaking people, they lived at the boat too so we walked with them. Up stairs to the bridge, down from the brigde, up again cause we couldn’t go through the fences, kept on walking sideways, backwards, forward, any way to keep the snow out of our eyes.  When we reached the boat we looked kind of like wet cats. And for some reason every single person in the “lobby” came to me and asked me how i felt and if i needed this and that to dry while they didn’t seem to care about Alex and the other guys. Haha.
We asked for adam, the guy who invited us and he gave us a tour of the boat. Logos Hope, a mission boat that sailed from country to country to help people in need. 350 people live on the boat.
while we sat in the restaurant we noticed a huge snowball fight down on the dock. apparently started by the captain of the boat.  after getting warm we said thanks and started walking all the way back, still in snowy weather. And when i got home i could literally squeeze water from my clothes.

After another good sleep we woke up to a bright shining sunday and headed out for taking new pics, this time in the sun. The day ended a few hours after that and we had to say goodbye and get on our busses home. (well, home… were we currently live anyways)
All in all. the words to sum up the weekend are spontanious/unplanned/cozy/fun/fika/interesting/english/nice food/people/international/easy going/chill/new friends/new faces/. the list is long. :)  I got to know my friend from Kanada anyway. Awesome!Gbg
